so many beautiful creatures in this world. so many beautiful places to stand as well. my eyes are half open, and cannot see beyond the blur. my own eyelashes shade the scene and leave me longing for the full view. how happy their lives must be, bathed in the comforting smiles of their lovers and wrapped in a cocoon of soft skin tentacles. every molecule is electric, causing the hairs to rise, as sparks crawl across the surface, passed back and forth, back and forth. i will watch from miles away with ancient telescopes, crying miserable tears for reasons unknown. a sadness so generic, birthed from laziness and an inability to widen my eyes. I

everyone is a cartoon. a doodle sketched with haste on the white empty of my mind. i capture them here, handling with care, so as not to snap their fragile frames. rough around the edges, black lines so thin they cut. their eyes are sagging, drooping, dripping. i can not allow them sleep so that they might not dream of somewhere better. if they leave me i will be lost. be patient. we will find color before you fade.        listen to: "ghost moves" the octopus project

yet another random day off. this is unprecedented. okay well maybe that is being a bit extreme. but let me just say it is pretty damn uncommon in these recent weeks. what to do with myself. what to do. i am putty molded by my own procrastination. maybe if i had environmentally sound solar panels harnessed to my back. i could drown in lazy with the power of the sun. or burn this muck from my brain. if i had a ladder small enough i would climb all the way up there to the tippy top of my skull and commence the most thorough of cleanings. the window washing of an eccentric edifice full of blithering businessmen who could sell saline to the sea. i
